"BUT YOU ARE CHOSEN AND DIFFERENT SO THAT YOUR LIFE WILL HONOR GOD!" - 1PETER 2:9

1. God created you in his image.

2. You have greatness inside of you.

3. You are different than every one else

4. Your difference make you valuable to others, your value honors God!

YOU "STAND OUT" WHEN YOU ARE DIFFERENT

What is being normal?

If you want to be NORMAL in this society then you:
-will be thousands of dollars in debt
-hate life
-be in bad health
-have negative relationships
-live in depression
-constantly complain
-live in fear
-never have enough
- and on and on and on................. DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BE NORMAL?

Look at the example of Daniel in Daniel 1 and 2.
Daniel chose to be different in spite of mounting pressure from others to "FIT IN". Daniel ended up being one of the kings most trusted advisors all in part because he decided "his difference" made him more "valuable" than fitting in !

Are you focused on being "normal", just like everyone else or is your relationship with Christ motivating you to accept your "difference". Remember, once you recognize the value that is inside of you, you will:
-Walk different
-Talk different
-Act different
-Eat different
-Think different
- Be different Because you are different!!!

CASTING DOWN IMAGINATIONS......THAT ARE AGAINST THE WORD OR WILL OF GOD!!! 2 CORINTHIANS 10:5

1. IMAGINATION can be good or bad. When used through the scope of God's will and word it will help create the life God has ordained and meant for you! If used negatively...can cripple, delay, and destroy the life God has meant for you.

2.No matter what your current situation is, the way you feel or the way things look...learn to see your future the way God see's it.

3. Imagine all the promises of God in your life. What does blessing, health, peace, and joy look and feel like?

Imagine it....believe it...walk it out.... and receive it!!!

For the Joy of the Lord is your strenght!!! - Nehemiah 8:10

ELEVATE LESSON NOTES JULY 12, 2009

"LEARNING TO RE-IMAGINE YOUR DESTINY"

CASTING DOWN IMAGINATIONS......THAT ARE AGAINST THE WORD OR WILL OF GOD!!! 2 CORINTHIANS 10:5

1. God gave you your imagination to build off of His word, a life full of hope, opportunity, health and vibrance.

2. Your imagination should be used as a "positive" tool in living your life to the full extent God intended.

3. If you imagine or focus on negative plots, scenarios or outcomes for your life reality will catch up.

EXAMPLES:




1. Michael Jackson (according to his ex-wife), believed he was to die like Elvis Presely did (a drug overdose)







2. Elvis Presely could never imagine his life at peace. So he accidentaly killed himself with drugs trying to find peace.




3. King Saul in the Bible, couldn't imagine any positive outcome for his life. He tries to kill "David the Shepherd Boy, seeks guidance from a witch, and then kills himself. (1 samuel chapters 19-31)

FOCUS:

1. What deep seated negative belief or imagination do you have about your life?

2. Some people imagine sickness because someone in their family has it.

3. Some people imagine divorce because their parents went through it.

4. Some people can only imagine darkness for their life due to the example they see around them.

IT'S YOUR TURN:

1. It's up to you to answer this question: If you feel strongly that something dark or negative will follow your life no matter what.... then.... what are -YOU- going to do about it???? I will leave you with these scriptures to help.
